The Susquehanna County Chapter would like to increase public awareness & knowledge for all kinds of emergencies from a hurricane to a heart attack.

You could play a major role in making your community better equipped to respond to disaster and emergency situations. Our chapter currently has Community Disaster Education presenters that would like to work with your civic group to prevent, prepare and respond if the unthinkable happened.

At no cost to you, a volunteer from our chapter could provide presentations to community groups, such as:

  1. Be Red Cross Ready- an umbrella preparedness education program for the Red Cross to help individuals, families and their communities get ready for a variety of emergencies
  2. Community Disaster Preparedness – a DVD presentation along with materials on the importance of being prepared.
  3. F.A.C.E. – First Aid and CPR for Everyone- an introduction to basic life saving skills. (this is not a First Aid/CPR/AED training course, it is an introduction)
